Dr. Jeremy Light is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship trained in Mohs surgery and cosmetic dermatology. He has advanced training in complex aesthetic facial reconstruction of Mohs surgical defects for skin cancer. His expertise in Mohs micrographic surgical technique is the gold standard treatment of skin cancer and is the most precise and effective treatment which creates a maximum tissue sparing surgical approach with the highest cure rate.
Dr. Light’s surgical training at Washington University in St. Louis included more than 3000 cases of operative experience in surgical skin cancer treatment and cosmetic reconstruction. During his surgical training he worked closely with the nation’s leading Mohs micrographic surgeons, facial plastic surgeons, and oculoplastic surgeons creating a comprehensive approach to aesthetic skin cancer reconstruction and cosmetic facial surgery.
Dr. Light has authored numerous peer-reviewed research studies and has been invited to speak at premier national dermatology meetings. He was a Tromovitch Award Finalist at the 2025 American College of Mohs Surgery annual meeting. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Schedler Honors College at the University of Central Arkansas. He attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where he graduated at the top of his class and received the highest accolade from the College of Medicine with membership in Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed a 1-year Transitional Year Residency at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Light completed his dermatology residency at Washington University in St. Louis where he served as chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in Mohs Surgery & Cosmetic Dermatology at Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Light is a native of Arkansas. He enjoys being outdoors, fishing, kayaking, golfing, and spending time with his wife and three sons.
