Dr. Brett Neill is a board-certified dermatologist and a double fellowship-trained Mohs and advanced aesthetic facial reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Neill is a native of Southwest Missouri where he attended Ozark High School, Crowder College and Drury University and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He attended medical school at the University of Missouri followed by a 1-year Transitional Internship at Wayne State University where he was selected by peers and faculty to receive the Excellence in Transitional Year Residency Award. 

Dr. Neill completed his dermatology training at the University of Kansas Medical Center. During his training, he authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications and 20 presentations at the premier dermatology conferences like the American College of Mohs Surgery and American Society of Dermatology Surgery. His research interests include complex facial reconstruction, improving the patient experience, and Mohs for melanoma and other rare tumors. He was one of 5 dermatology residents selected nationally to receive the prestigious Vic Narurkar Scholarship for his accomplishments. He co-authored two scholarly articles that won the highly coveted American Society of Dermatologic Surgery Young Investigator’s Award for best articles in back-to-back years. During residency, Dr. Neill developed a passion for skin cancer treatment and facial reconstruction through his close mentorship with Dr. Thomas Hocker, a renown surgeon, skin cancer expert, and co-author of the foremost dermatology review book. 

After his dermatology residency, Dr. Neill completed two intensive fellowships in Mohs Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology. His training heavily focused on treating all types of skin cancer, complex reconstructions, as well as laser & cosmetic surgery. He completed his first fellowship with renown surgeon and co-author of the leading Mohs surgery textbook, Dr. Stan Tolkachjov, at the Epiphany Dermatology Skin Cancer Institute in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. His second fellowship was completed at the highly competitive Oregon Health and Science University. Here, he gained further expertise in treating Mohs for melanoma and other rare tumors, laser & cosmetic dermatology, and had integrated training in oculoplastic surgery. 

He has expertise in treating all skin tumors, both common and rare. He seeks to treat all patients with the highest quality of care and wants your surgical experience at Swann Dermatology to be exceptional. 

In his free time, he enjoys family adventures, a walk with his wife, fitness, watching combat sports, and playing any and every sport.
