Dr. Brett Neill is a board-certified dermatologist and a double fellowship-trained Mohs and advanced aesthetic facial reconstructive surgeon. He is a native of Southwest Missouri where he attended Ozark High School, Crowder College and Drury University and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He attended medical school at the University of Missouri followed by a 1-year Transitional Internship at Wayne State University where he was selected by his peers to receive the Excellence in Transitional Year Residency Award. Dr. Neill completed his dermatology training at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He has authored nearly 100 peer-reviewed research studies and manuscripts and presented numerous times at premier dermatology conferences like the American College of Mohs Surgery and American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. He co-authored articles that won the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery’s (ASDS) Young Investigator’s Writing Competition in back-to-back years (2021 and 2022). He was among 5 residents in the country to receive the highly coveted ASDS Vic Narurkar MD Award for his dedication and passion for cosmetic dermatology. He won second place at the 2023 American College of Mohs Surgery Annual Meeting Fellows-in-Training Clinicopathologic Case Competition. During residency, Dr. Neill developed a passion for skin cancer treatment and facial reconstruction through his close mentorship with Dr. Thomas Hocker, a renown surgeon, skin cancer expert, and co-author of the foremost dermatology review book.
Dr. Neill is one of a handful of Mohs surgeons in the USA who has completed two intensive fellowships in Mohs Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology. He completed his first fellowship with renown surgeon, Dr. Stanislav Tolkachjov in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. His second fellowship was completed at the highly competitive Oregon Health and Science University. These fellowships featured Mohs surgery of all types of skin cancers including Mohs for melanoma, complex facial reconstruction, oculoplastic surgery, and laser surgery among some of the nation’s leading and innovative dermatologic and oculoplastic surgeons. This unique integration has given Dr. Neill the expertise to treat all types of skin cancer and perform complex facial reconstructive surgery at the highest level.
