Lower Blepharoplasty (Lower Eyelid Lift)

Lower Blepharoplasty (Lower Eyelid Lift)

Case Details

Issue: Under-Eye Bags, Fine Lines

Procedure: Lower Blepharoplasty (Lower Eyelid Lift), Fractionated CO2 Laser

Description: The patient was concerned that her under-eye bags were making her look older and tired. She initially was interested in tear trough filler, but was concerned about it looking unnatural and how often she would need to repeat the injections. Dr. Swann found that her orbital fat was prolapsing and suggested she consider a CO2-laser-guided lower blepharoplasty (eye bag removal) and external fractionated CO2 laser on the skin of her lower eyelids to improve the fine lines. This was performed in the office based surgery suite under local anesthesia and nerve blocks. All incisions were hidden on the inside of the eyelid. The patient was very satisfied with her final results.
