Diagnosis: Basal Cell Carcinoma, Nose
Procedure: Mohs Surgery with Bilobed Flap Repair
Description: This lateral nasal tip location is difficult because many reconstructive surgeries can leave the nose looking pulled up or twisted over. Dr. Swann permed a beautiful bilobed transposition flap with @zitellijohn modification using 5-0 monocryl and 6-0 polypropylene to minimize tension on her nasal tip. This flap is a cornerstone of nasal tip reconstruction because it maintains the fullness of the architecture. We are thankful for our patients who do excellent wound care. These are the types of results you can see with a dedicated patient and surgical team!
